Day 1: Bushmen’s River Tented Camp

We cross the escarpment and head deep into the Kingdom of the Zulu where we’ll set up camp on the banks of the historic Tugela River. After we’ve settled in and explored the natural beauty of the area, we take to clay pigeon shooting which after we’ll go for a short guided nature walk and then enjoy sundowners on the river deck.

Day 2: Bushmen’s River Tented Camp

ADVENTURE in your face! We start off the day with a river rafting mission down the Tugela River. In the afternoon we take a short break to braai and recharge the batteries and then head off to the mountains to abseil down the beautiful Drakensberg Mountain range that runs through the area. Back at camp we take it easy around the campfire while sipping down a few cold ones.

Day 3: St Lucia

We take the scenic route east towards the coats. We reach St Lucia Bay late the in the afternoon. We have a few hours to spare and we explore the St Lucia wetland park. In the evening we are entertained by traditional cultural dances and a drum beats to make us feel right at home here where we belong… Africa!

Day 4: St Lucia

It’s a well known fact that St Lucia is known as the best place in South Africa for whale watching up close…so today we are getting on a boat to view the planets largest animal from as close as 50m. We are guaranteed to see these magnificent creatures so you’re in for an adventure that you’ll never forget. Once back on dry land we head to the Hluhluwe Game Reserve, the oldest game reserve in South Africa and we take you on a guided game drive through Big 5 territory.

Day 5: Sodwana

We head further north up the Elephant Coast to our next destination: Sodwana Bay
Here there is something to do for everyone! Sodwana is famous for its unspoilt coral reefs populated with a huge diversity of Indo-Pacific fish & invertebrates. Apart from the great diving & beautiful coral reefs, the area offers fun and excitement for the non-diver too. From quad bike riding, horse riding, kiteboarding and paintballing to day trips to just relaxing and digging your toes into the sand.

Day 6: Sodwana

We spent another day in this coastal paradise and enjoy the island style vibe that it offers. There are a lot of activities and exploring to be done during the day!

Day 7: Pongola

Said to be the Jewel of KwaZulu-Natal, we head to Pongola for our last night. We check out all the sites and scenes including the Jozini dam where we’ll have our last sundowners as a group and just enjoy the beauty of the Dam and the environment. Tiger fishing trips could be arranged, but it’s not part of our tour.

Day 8: OR Tambo International Airport

We are due to be back in Johannesburg at the drop off spot at the Airport at 14:00pm.
